Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the services of Zavala's Auto Repair ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Zavala's Auto Repair provides automotive repair and maintenance services including but not limited to:

• Engine diagnostics and repair
• Brake service and repair
• Transmission service and repair
• Oil changes and fluid services
• Tire service and replacement
• AC repair and maintenance
• Battery replacement and electrical service
• General automotive maintenance

3. Estimates and Authorization

• We will provide estimates for repair services when requested
• Estimates are approximations and final costs may vary based on actual work required
• We will obtain your authorization before performing work that exceeds the original estimate by more than 10% or $50, whichever is less
• Diagnostic fees may apply and will be communicated before service begins

4. Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon completion of services
• We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards
• We reserve the right to exercise a mechanic's lien for unpaid services
• Returned checks will incur a $35 fee

5. Warranties

Our warranty policies are as follows:

• Labor warranty: 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first
• Parts warranties vary by manufacturer and will be communicated at time of service
• Warranties are void if repairs are attempted by another party
• Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear or damage from accidents, misuse, or neglect

6. Vehicle Storage

• Vehicles left for more than 3 days after completion of service may incur storage fees of $25 per day
• Vehicles abandoned for more than 30 days may be disposed of according to Illinois law
• We are not responsible for personal items left in vehicles

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the actual cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use of vehicle, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, or lost profits.

8. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate vehicle and contact information
• Disclose known issues or previous repairs
• Remove personal belongings from vehicles
• Pick up vehicles promptly upon completion of service
• Maintain vehicles according to manufacturer recommendations

9. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Unsafe vehicle conditions
• Abusive or threatening behavior
• History of non-payment
• Requests for illegal modifications

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Illinois law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
